Cool Math Games and English Banana Games are Educational????

      Everything in coolmath games are not educational. Maybe some are but really they aren't even related to education. For example take Bloons Tower Defense 3. It says it is using Mathematical Knowledge but can't you just get some educational website with math problems and put it in a way that if you answer twenty questions you can play the game. In my words coolmath games are the worst "Educational Games". In english banana there are absolutely zero percent of educational games even though they say so. Take Raze 2 for example it is a war game. I don't think the school would like people playing war games in school boundaries. Take Electricman 2 It is a fighting game. There is nothing related to school except that they are learning some karate moves which the school is not offering.

Danger With One Centimeter

         Today. we were walking towards the building when this guy kicks this girl while she was taking out her books. She got mad and started chasing him. In the middle of the chasing the guys backpack slipped and fell to the ground. The girl stopped chasing him and grabbed his backpack and through it in the gravel path where all vehicles drive to get to school. A bus was coming and the bus driver had to veer of the road into the grass in order to avoid the backpack which was in the middle of the road. Then the guy took his backpack while the girl kicked him really hard three times. If the busdriver hadn't veered of the road the bus would have tumbled sideways and everybody in the bus would have gotten hurt and because the bus will be in the middle of the road it would have caused tumult and frustration in others.

Different Countries

Snow fall or Chillin Winds

           In the state of Delaware there is still no snow. Normally in Chicago and other places it would have started snowing by the time after Halloween. But there is no snow and we are already a week into December. I don't know about others but I prefer snow over chillin winds because even if it snows it will not be as cold as it is now. We had a little snow when Hurricane Sandy passed by but you can't actually count that as snow because it was a little frozen water. See the pics up top about the snow in Chicago.

Hot or What?

         You know how I told you in the previous blog that I helped to create a Maker Bot Thing O Matic? So we wanted to test it so we sent a design to the machine. It said that it would take an hour to finish so I told Mr. Edmond that I would be back in fifth period to see what the machine had done to it. So I came back and I saw that the machine had done its homework very well. I didn't check the temperature of the platform and the temperature of the thing we made. So I wanted to pick it up and experiment with it so just as I was picking it up Mr. Edmond called out,"No, don't touch it." Then he quickly ran towards me and said,"If you had touch that your hand would have been burned. We checked the temperature of the platform and the thing we made. It figured that the temperature on the platform was 140 degrees Fahrenheit and the temperature of the thing we made with a thing called weed wacker was 160 degrees Fahrenheit. So I thanked Mr. Edmond and left.

Slender Man is Creepy

      Yesterday we had a free day in Mrs. Jones class. Everybody asked for Slender Man so I let them copy of my flash drive. After playing it for six minutes one of the kids fell down from their chair because of the creepy music. Then after another five minutes another kid just fell down from his chair because of the creepy face and body of Slender Man. One girl just asked the teacher if she could go to the library because she freaked out before even seeing Slender Man. All this time I was playing Cricket and watching people fall out of their chairs. some people kept playing even though they were scared. So the teacher told us that we could not play Slender Man. So I kept playing Cricket while the others were playing Raze 2 and Electric Man.

3D Laser Make A Matic Bot or What?

I was invited to one of my Tech Ed teachers to try to put the 3D Laser Make A Matic Bot together. It was a ridiculosly hard thing to do. You needed Replicator GLX 2.3.8 as well as Python 2.3.8. You needed to be a expert hacker and programmer. Once we got the programming and hacking done we started to assemble the parts together. It had small and fragile parts but we did it with ease. In one of the steps we did it incorrectly so we had to disassemble the part and drill a hole into the wood in order to assemble it correctly. When we called the customer service it said,"You have called 3D Laser Make A Matic Bot customer service. But we do not have people to help you today. You will be informed as soon as possible when we have a person available to help you. We have customer service people 7 days a week and 24 hours a day." It said that they do not have any people to help us but it says that there are customer service people 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. The whole class was cracking up because most of them thought it was a prank played by the customer service people of that product. I am going to put a picture of the machine we created.

Whales for Entertainment or Whales for Meat

               Today, I saw a movie called, "Big Miracle," by Drew Barrymore and John Krasinki. It showed that Eskimos are illegally hunting whales and using all of there body parts for there own uses. It shoes how they follow whales on land and throw huge spears at it. It tries to free itself from the spear but the spear is really sharp so a whale can never free itself from it. It shows how people are starting to mine for oil in Alaska and some times when oil spills it makes the water impure for the whale to drink water. So they have to take a detour during migration period and if they are lucky they make it there a little later but if they aren't it starts to get really cold and most of the breathing holes are going to be covered up by ice and snow so the whale either has to keep trying to keep open the breathing hole or drown. So a huge machine is used to melt the ice. But it ended up stuck in ice and snow. So they had to take help from the Soviet Union which was the closest place that they had a machine to melt the snow. The baby whale dies. But the two parents make it to the ocean. 

Enemy Fire or Football Burst

         Today before even school started everybody was ducking and hiding. Two 6th graders were playing football and suddenly the other kid did not catch the football so it landed on the gravel path and a bus was coming that way and the bus ran over the football. It made a huge sound. People started to duck and scream. But then I heard some yell out, "My football burst it is not enemy firing." Then I reassured all the little kids that it was just a football being ran over by a bus. Then I heard absolute silence then suddenly a BB gun pellet hit the window. The window shattered into pieces then everybody went psycho. Until a school teacher came and reassured them they were all crying and trying to see where the next pellet would hit. By the end of the day they had barred all of the windows and put giant pieces of wood to block the glass part of the windows.

Germans

        Hey I never knew I had germans viewing my blog. I found out that Germans were viewing my blog yesterday.

November 13th

             The weekend is over we have school again. We do not have holidays till next week. Today is a one day. I went to my first period and sat down ready to begin with the warm up. It was quite simple and I finished it before the time ran out. I sat down reading book. The name of the book is "Gregor The Overlander," by Suzanne Collins. By the way she was also the author of the "The Hunger Games." The book was really good and I started reading it from where I left of. I got done reading five pages before Mr. Hogan said, "Times Up!" We checked our answers for last weeks asignment and Mr. Hogan started to write bullet points and highlighted the important ones. He gave us some problems to work on and the period was over. He said that we have to finish them for homework. I went to period L and Mr. Herlihy told us it was Picture Day and took us to the Auditorium to let the people take photoes of us. We went back to the classroom and he told us to finish the summary and do warmup number 2. Suddenly the bell rang. I went to second period and Mrs. Jones had already finished writing the quiz on the board as well as the Essential Question. We took the quiz and Mrs. Jones asked me to write the answers on the board. We did an asignment and we went to the computer lab to do some work on the computer. Then I went to the library for Teacher AID. I went to Language Arts and we read some little kids stories such as Baby llama misses mama and other llama stories. Next period I went  to FCS and we had to turn in this project I worked on during the weekend. Then for the last period I went to Spanish and there we studied about the subject pronouns and their formation.

November 9th

                School started out fine today. We had Spanish for first period. I got my TI-84 Silver Edition calculator to school today so I can put some programs in my calculator. My favorite class is Science because I like doing experiments. We did an experiment today. We worked with open flames. We experimented with different types of substances to see how that would affect the amount of heat energy would be transferred. In Math Mr. Hogan put a pretest. Our highest score is 16. Mr. Hogan was happy because it was a pretest but we still got 16 out of 22. In Social Studies we discussed about the the Congress. We were bored at the start of the period but by the end of the period nobody was bored because we did fun activities on the computer. In third period I helped the librarian by putting away the books and started to read. In fourth period we watched a Simpsons movie. It involved a poem known as "The Raven," by Edgar Allan Poe. We went to lunch and I played Cricket. In fifth period we studied about the stages of children and appropriate things to do for their age. In sixth period we did an assignment on "Me Gusta........" I went home on the 3:00 p.m bus and got home by 3:30 p.m. I played in my DS. I finished my homework and watched  a educational cd. I went home.

News of the Day

        Halloween is tomorrow and it's really cold. Hurricane Sandy has just passed by the state of Delaware early morning. Trees were blown aside but it seems that it is gradually slowing down. In West Virginia it is snowing while at long island the streets are are drenched with ocean water. Kite boarders are having fun in the ocean while Hurricane Sandy is heading north towards Canada. Schools and Offices  were closed on Monday as well as Tuesday. Hurricane Sandy is one of Mother Earth's surprises. Election Day is November 6th.  All three presidential debates are fulfilled. Still there are many undecided voters. Romney won two of the three debates. Any educated person can tell that Romney is going to win the popular vote. But the decision on who will win the most electoral college votes can never be guessed unlike the popular vote. Many think Romney should be voted for because Obama in the last four years has fulfilled only a few of the promises he made when he participated in the election of 2008.
